Breakfast at the Tucker House Inn and Harrison House Suites is not to be missed. Every morning we will treat you to a hot, multi-course savory breakfast made from the freshest seasonal ingredients. Breakfast is a three-course affair starting with fresh fruit, our house-made granola, and Greek-style yogurt, followed with a hot entrée of the day and a sweet treat for dessert. Our menu changes daily and reflects the availability of local seasonal ingredients from island farms.

Many of the herbs, flowers, vegetables and fruits that we use come from local farmers throughout the San Juan Islands, or from the Inn’s organic garden. We have developed relationships with local farmers and fishermen to ensure you have the very best produce, meats, fish, and cheeses available for the start of your day.

A local dairy provides us with lightly pasteurized fresh milk and cream, delivered weekly in glass jars by our “milk man;” island farms provide us with organic free range duck and chicken eggs. Our house blend coffee is locally roasted from the San Juan Coffee Roasting Company, specializing in fresh roasting exotic Estate Grown coffees from around the world. Our selection of specialty and gourmet teas come from the mountains of China, the jungles of Japan, and the coasts of Canada and Washington State.

For guest accommodations that do not have a kitchen, breakfast is enjoyed in the Garden Room Café, located in the Harrison House (the gold-colored house next to the Upper Tucker House, ground floor, red door.) The first course is served family style at our communal tables and is available starting at 8:30 am. Individually plated hot entrées are served at 9:00 am. If you have pre-ordered a special dietary meal and are dining in the Garden Room Café, please let our Innkeeper know once you are seated, so that she may serve you the proper meal.

Guests who are staying in cottages or suites with a kitchen will enjoy room delivery between the hours of 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. Please confirm a delivery time with your Innkeeper 24 hours in advance. If you are enjoying a multi-night stay with us, we will deliver breakfast at the same time each morning unless we hear otherwise. Please give our Innkeepers 24 hours notice so they may plan for your change in time. In your suite’s well-stocked kitchen, you can find all the fixin’s for a continental breakfast – perfect for those early risers wanting to catch the sun’s first rays or a morning jog. The Guest Kitchen in the Upper Tucker House is also available to early risers for those staying in our guest rooms without kitchens.

We accommodate a range of food allergies and special dietary needs including diabetic, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, low-fat, or low-cholesterol diets. Please confirm your preferences when checking in.

If you are staying in a suite with a kitchen and feel like being pampered for that special occasion or just because, we will provide you with a candlelight breakfast with champagne for a small additional charge. Please give us at least 24 hours notice.

Catching an early morning ferry or flight? Let us know at least 24 hours in advance and we will gladly pack a breakfast to-go for you, including the Inn’s house-made granola, yogurt, fruit, juice, a baked goodie, and a hot beverage.

In the interest of ecology and food waste, if you will not be joining us for breakfast, we would appreciate advance notice. We thank you for your consideration.
